ARCHITECTURAL INNOVATION – HOT OFF THE PRESS!
This modern and architecturally challenging new building in the Steinhausen district of Munich offers a solution to the increasing lack of space in the city centre.
The new building complex, which is located close to the publishing house’s printing plant, consists of an architecturally distinctive tower block, a low-rise building and a light-filled atrium, which, at 24.3 m wide and an impressive 23.5 m high, serves as an inviting and evocative entrance area. The imposing structure with its curved glass façade offers 51,000 m2 of state-of-the-art working conditions for 1,850 employees.
The airiness and transparency of the exterior are continued into the interior. The planning specification for the interior fitout called for not only functionality but also compliance with stringent noise and fire safety requirements. Thanks to the variety of potential solutions offered by modern drywall construction, we had no problem implementing our client’s requests and requirements.
