Eurotower, Frankfurt am Main
Fitout at the highest Level
The Eurotower – a famous high-rise in Frankfurt – stands alongside the opera and theatre of the Städtische Bühnen on Willy-Brandt-Platz (Kaiserstrasse 29), occupying an entire block. Depending on the viewer’s perspective, it can appear either bulky or elegant.
This 40-storey building was designed by Richard Heil and Johannes Krahn and was first occupied in 1977 by the Bank für Gemeinwirtschaft (BfG). From 1998 to 2014, the building housed the headquarters of the European Central Bank (ECB).
In November 2014, the ECB moved to new premises at the Grossmarkthalle in Frankfurt’s Ostend district due to a lack of space. After this imposing structure was revitalised at the end of 2015, the tower became home to the European Banking Authority.
Apleona R&M Ausbau was commissioned with the full interior fitout as part of this construction project. After gutting the entire interior of the building, Apleona R&M Ausbau took just seven months to fit the building with new suspended metal ceilings, office and corridor walls, new bathroom facilities – including fixtures and fittings – and new flooring.
